Chris Schubert, Children's Pastor
I love to go backpacking, canoeing and rafting, camping, fishing, swimming, reading, playing board games, and eating out (Mexican, Chinese, seafood and Thai are favorites!).
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and became involved in radio broadcasting in high school. Midway through my career, a friend from high school reconnected me with God and church. Soon after, I received the call to full-time ministry, and knew God was sending me back to school to complete my degree and change my life course. I graduated from Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana with a degree in Youth Ministry in 2007. I was then appointed the Minister of Youth and Families at Grace Church in Decatur, Illinois. After a couple of years of successful ministry there, the church changed direction, and I knew God was moving me toward my next assignment. In June of 2009, I was brought on to Faith Venture Church, a church plant in Denver, Colorado. Although my time there was short, God grew the children's ministry in numbers and in depth. After a brief rest, I began the quest for a very stable place where I could stay long-term. I knew I had found it when I was called to Northeast Community. I began my ministry at Northeast Community Church in May of 2011.

Monte Black, Worship Pastor
I grew up in Amarillo Texas and learned to play the guitar when I was 12. I played in various bands and started going to church youth camps and meeting more musicians. I was then drafted and served in the US Army for four years. After an unexpected prophecy, I became a youth leader for over 10 years. Being a musician, my heart was in worship, so for about 15 years I led worship in Texas before moving to Colorado in September of 2009.
I have been married to my wife Sherry for nearly 35 years, and she truly is my helper and friend. My children are Jeff, Jeremy, Brittany, and Taylor. My hobbies are music, softball, camping, and cooking. I love the Colorado mountains and the snow that falls on them. God put me here for a reason and I am very excited to see what He has planned. I started my ministry with Northeast Community Church in September of 2011.

Sarah Herndon, Office Secretary
I have been married to Mike, for seven years, and we have three beautiful children: Alex (5), Evelyn (2), and Penelope (1).
I received my BA in English from Colorado College a few months before I met Mike, and we lived in Colorado for our first two years together. Our family then moved overseas to teach in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, at an international school for two years. During that time, I completed an online course and earned my Professional Teaching License. We followed God’s lead to Istanbul, Turkey, and taught there for one year before moving back to the States. . During my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my family, reading, hiking and climbing 14ers, photography, blogging, sewing, cooking, and talking with friends. I began my ministry at Northeast Community Church in November of 2010, and enjoy the creativity, organization, and attention-to-detail that my position requires
